Here’s a comparison of link aggregators using ActivityPub. Functionality of a link aggregator is to collect Web links to external resources – AKA sharing bookmarks, and to enable ranking and discussion about those resources.

Ranking Algorithm

  • Lemmy uses a log scale to give precedence to the first 10 votes and decay the importance of later votes to foster novelty over popularity.
  • Littr.me uses a dumb summing algorithm of Likes/Dislikes activities for computing a score for each element but uses the hacker news sorting for elements when showing them to the user.
