About the W3C SocialCG

#1

I think this is a great resource! I’d also like to point out the SocialCG, of which I’m co-chair. We do a monthly discussion every second tuesday of the month. https://www.w3.org/wiki/SocialCG

Next Wednesday’s meeting: https://www.w3.org/wiki/SocialCG/2019-02-13

Calls happen over my Mumble server. During the next meeting we’ll talk about Spritely and also go through some open issues in ActivityStreams (and maybe ActivityPub?)

In the future, I’d especially like to use the SocialCG for issue triage… it seems like a good time to do it. There are a lot of issues open and languishing on the ActivityPub GitHub repo right now…

Also, folks on the SocialCG IRC channel are generally super nice and happy to help with implementation questions: #social on irc.w3.org

The IRC channel is great, the people there helped me a lot while implementing AP in Friendica.

I also opened several issues at the SocialCG repository. Sadly not very much could be answered, so I hope that this forum here (or some other) will be some official place where all implementers could exchange ideas how to implement already implemented stuff, new stuff that could be coped by the specification and how to do stuff that isn’t in the specs at all.
